Footprints, parties & New Life.

These may seem like a strange combination for Good Friday but over 80 children and young people piled into St Chad's to experience some of the Easter story. New life craft activities were enthusiastically experienced by the children and the helpers which led into the party of the last supper. What a sight all the children the length of St Chad's tucking into their party and Easter egg hunt around the church culminating in lively multi media worship in the chancel.

Where you might ask do the footprints enter into the picture? The children thought about Jesus and his walk on Good Friday leading to the cross and they cut out their own footprints one dark for Good Friday and one bright for Easter Day. The bright ones were arranged on wooden crosses to go back into each of the schools that the children represented six in all. Something unusual and exciting gives the children a really different perspective about church and worship.
