Light Night
An alternative to the darkness

Twenty five children had the run of St Chad's church for a party this evening. It was a night when a lot of people are tempted to explore the darkness that has become Halloween.

The festival has derived its name from All Hallows Eve - the eve of All Saints Day. This is a day when the lives of good people who have shown love to others are remembered and celebrated. The church was full of atmosphere and coloured light as the children had their faces painted, explored with their torches and tucked into their party food.

Decorating biscuits was one of the most popular activiites of the evening. They also made stained glass windows and firework pictures, all full of light and brightness and colour. It ended withe a Praise Party, the children waving glow sticks and catching bubbles and balloons.
