Hallowe'en is a frightening or disturbing night for many people. It needn't be so. The Light Night Party is a happy alternative to the negative symbolism that often otherwise fills the night. At St Andrew's Church on 31st October 2004 the first Kirby Light Night Party was held and a good time was had by all. The children were asked to dress brightly, bring a torch and respect each other. There were games, crafts, singing, food, drink - and lots of mess.
Those who were rash enough to organise the party have decided it was a good thing and are all set for next year. Only one thing will be different - there won't be quite so much flour. Return to main News menu |
