The Romans didn't seem to worry too much if their roads went over the odd hill when they built them 2000 years ago. Pictured below are two of our local vicars, Jeremy Fagan and Andy Heber, having walked one such road that goes over the top of one of the Lake District's highest mountains and gives it its name: High Streeet. Every year the Parish Staff go away for a few days to plan for the next year. A stretching walk is one way to keep the brain cells working.
