Four windows depicting angels (one of the obsessions of the Pre-Raphaelite artists) are set in each corner of the church. This one is in a dark corridor alongside the vestry leading from the back door. No doubt it would once have been visible from the nave. Many visitors think this is St George. The memory of his slaying the dragon burns brighter in English minds. It is in fact Michael slaying the fallen angel.
