Vandalism

St Chad's is under constant threat from the vandalism caused by local children.

Coming soon on this page will be advice on how those who care about the church can help protect it and unmask those who are destroying Kirkby's history.

Thanks

Our thanks to Riverside Housing for assistance in upgrading the CCTV system at St Chad's and making this a safer place. Pictured left is the Rector, Tim Stratford, receiving a cheque from Mrs Jean Williams, a member of the tenants' committee that made the award.

Broken Memories

Some of Kirkby's history. In one month in 2004 six nineteenth century grave stones were broken and £1000 damage was done to the church roof.

There is currently £250,000 damage to the church windows.
