We are hoping in September to set up a Kidz Klub meeting in St. Martin's which would be for Primary School aged children. This is a fun, lively meeting, with games, prizes, music, and stories. More information will be on this web page as and when it is available. St. Martin's has suffered for a long time from anti-social behaviour, and so in 2004, we started meeting on a weekly basis with some of the young people who hung around outside the church. This has developed over the winter into a weekly point of contact, and some positive relationships have built up. Some of the young people helped paint the front of the church in October, and since then, we have seen the incidence of vandalism and graffiti decline. | |||||||||||||||||||||
